Mcayden's New Vacuum, I Mean Lawnmower...

We bought Mcayden a bubble-blowing lawnmower and he LOVES it. He calls it his vacuum. He loves pushing it around the yard and will play for like 20 minutes at a time, walking around, mowing the lawn. It is really cute.

Mcayden's Two!

Mcayden had a great 2nd birthday! We threw a little birthday party for him a couple of days before his "official" b-day day. It was a lot of fun hanging out with our friends and watching the kids play together. This years party was "easy" for Mom & Dad. We bought all the food and had the cake made at Costco. (I added the train track and Thomas candle.)It was totally the way to go! We really enjoyed ourselves.

Mcayden was so excited about his "choo-choo" cake, that he tried to drive the train candle along the track! I thought it was so cute he did that. Mcayden picked the "choo-choo" decorations for his party and it turned out really cute. He loved all the balloons and would say the names of each train on the table cloth. He is such a QT.

The kiddos spent their time racing up and down the hallway, playing with balloons and toys, and eating!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Mcayden! We love you!

Our little party animal crashed once his party was over. He had so much fun!

"I'm having Mcayden withdrawls"

My mom called me up, "I'm having Mcayden withdrawls. Are you going to fly out and see us like you had talked about?" She is such a cute grammie! So, we booked our flight and headed to Utah. This would be our last trip until after the baby is born, so we thought we should go while we had the chance. Plus, Mcayden is almost two, and we'll have to start paying for his plane tickets!
We stayed for about a week and a half and had a really good time! Mcayden had a blast being spoiled by grammies, aunties and playing with his cousins. He especially loves playing with his cousin Carson. We discovered if we wanted him to do something, like put on his shoes, we'd just have to mention seeing "Cousin Carson" and he would immediately cooperate. It was nice being there too, because I got to rest a lot while Mcayden was off playing with family, having a great time.
I taught Mcayden to say, "The snow is everywhere!". He got used to being in the snow really quickly and went on a couple of walks in the snow with his Grammie B and Auntie Cindy. He loved it! We went to two birthday parties for his cousins and he got to go swimming at the rec center. He even went on the BIG, twisty slide with his Auntie Lora. All the way down he said, "Fun! Fun!"
When we got to the airport, Rick was there to greet us. I had been really nausious on the plane and held the barf bag the whole trip back, just waiting and praying I wouldn't have to throw up. Once I saw Rick, I broke into tears, swearing never to fly while pregnant again. We had a great trip, but it's always nice to come home. We missed Rick/Daddy a lot. (January 24-Feb. 1)

Mcayden had fun looking at the planes while we waited to board. As we watched the workers start fueling the plane, etc. Mcayden said, "Cleaning and checking"--which is from one of his books, "Planes". He has such an incredible memory.

Auntie Cindy took Mcayden on a walk in the snow. They found a snow cave and big ice crystals! Mcayden is holding one of the ice crystals they found, in his hands. What fun!

Grammie B & Mcayden enjoying a bed time story together. Mcayden loves reading, especially with his Grammie.

Smooch!! Auntie Cindy giving "Baby Vegas" kisses. She's already so loved!

Grammie B & Mcayden out feeding the birds. Mcayden was a big help scooping up the seed and filling the bird feeders.
Mcayden with his favorite cousin, Carson. Cheeeeze!
Yummy! Enjoying some birthday cake from Brooklyn & Carson's family B-day party.
Mcayden with Grandma Shay and his cousins--he had a blast at the Rec. Center pool. He loves swimming and being in the water. Here they are going down the "river".
We're home! Daddy gave Mcayden a ride to the car on our luggage. Everything is fun when you're a kid!

Fun With Auntie Debbie

Auntie Debbie & Mcayden cheezin' it!

Look at those bellys! I'm seeing double!
I'm seven months along now--and it shows! Debbie and I were goofing around and she stuffed her sweatshirt so we could take "prego" pics together. Debbie was such a huge help during her visit! She was our auntie/nanny, cook and maid. We were spoiled and really appreciated everything she did for us! Mcayden especially loved being spoiled by Auntie Deb and we kept teasing he was in for a rude awakening once Auntie Debbie left! Debbie and I did some shopping--it was nice to get out of the house a bit. I even got some cute maternity clothes, which was nice. Wearing pajamas every day losing it charm after a couple of months. :)

Tubing at Snoqualmie Pass

We went tubing at Snoqualmie Pass--what a blast! It was beautiful on the mountain. They had oversold the time slot we had paid for, so we went to lunch, at the lodge, and then went to a later session. It was perfect weather and didn't start snowing on us until we were just about done tubing.
Auntie Debbie had flown in the day before too, so she was able to come with us!
I think I went down the hill twice and then was too tired to do it anymore (tubing is hard work!). Mcayden went a couple more times with his daddy and auntie. Then, he fell asleep in the tube as it began snowing! It was so cute--he was exhausted!

Christmas Eve Tradition

We started a family tradition two years ago where we go to the Metropolitian Grill in Seattle for a nice dinner on Christmas Eve. Following dinner we head to the Space Needle and look at the city lights. It is such a nice tradition. The Met has incredible food and service and it is really nice to have a special night out as a family

Redmond Lights--Christmas 2007

This was the third year we went to "Redmond Lights" at Redmond Town Center. This year we also went on the river walk. Along the way there were different groups singing, ringing bells, etc. It was lit by luminaries and other Christmas lights/scenes and was very pretty! It was really cold and windy, but worth it! We got to sample lots of yummy food and watch different performances including music and dance, once we arrived at the festival. Mcayden especially liked the Indian food! It was a really fun night for our family!
