Christmas Wishes

The note Mcayden (I mean Rudolph) left Santa. He asked Santa to do everything he could do to give presents to Rudolph. He wants presents "no rocks".

Abby loved her new toys the kids picked out for her. As well as the wrapping paper.

Happy kids!

Mcayden really wanted a Polar Express train this year. He would describe it in detail any time he was asked. So when Christmas morning came, as he opened his gifts he would comment, "It's not a polar express train." Although he was happy about some of his other toys, he kept asking where his train was. After we opened all the presents, I went "to check on the laundry" and saw a huge bin in the office with a bow on it--Mcayden ran into the room, opened the lid and started jumping up and down, "It's a Polar Express train!!" Thank you Santa (aka Grammy B) for making his one Christmas wish come true.
Addison had fun ripping the paper from packages and holding her new doll and playing with her other toys (as well as Mcayden's toys).
Our kids were very blessed this year by family, friends and our generous Secret Santas. It was amazing and SO appreciated. Thank you!
We had our delicious traditional Christmas breakfast (thanks to Rick) and later enjoyed a nice Christmas dinner (china and all--even Mint Dazzle for dessert) with our good friends and their two kids. It was a beautiful Christmas day.
Merry Christmas!

Family Snapshot

Bounce!

Playing at Bounce!

Deb's Visit

The day after Julie flew out, Debbie flew in and the mini-vacation continued. If I could afford a nanny, I would so have one! The kids loved being doted on and I loved the extra time doing other fun things!Down town Denver's Mall area draped in lights.
We saw Santa!
and one of his reindeer!
Hanging out with Auntie Deb.
Off to Boulder to meet up with a friend of Debbie's. We went to the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse and enjoyed a cup of tea before meeting up with her friend and heading to Pearl Street for some shopping!

Christmas Program

Mcayden did a great job in his preschool Christmas program. The kids filed into the room in a single line, rining their jingle bells. All the parents grabbed their cameras and camcorders and the program began! The songs were fun and the kids liked all the jumping, hand motions and bell ringing they invovled. Following the program, they had platters of every holiday cookie you could imagine (brought by all the families). Addison was in cookie heaven.

See the cute little girl in the red dress? That is one of Mcayden's favorite little friends. Her name is Emmy (Emerson) and they are "dinosaur friends" and most recently "reindeer friends". When we leave school they will say, "bye reindeer friend!"
"Look, it's me!!"

Jewels

Auntie Julie flew out for a visit last week. I am so thankful and blessed to have such wonderful sisters! It was so fun having Jewels here. The kids loved all the extra attention and I enjoyed the company and all the extra help! We didn't take many pictures, but here is a cute of of her and Mcayden. They had been snuggled up on the couch reading Frosty the Snowman.

Rudolph

Don't call him Mcayden. He's Rudolph. His nose glows (mmmmmmm) too.
It was the perfect day at preschool for Mcayden. They talked about reindeer and what they eat. For the last week or so, Mcayden has decided he is Rudolph and everytime he sees a picture of Rudolph he says, "Look it's a picture of me" or "I saw a picture of myself".
Today he said, "When I grow up, I can play reindeer games." and "When I grow up, I will pull Santa's sleigh". He loves the animated movie, the old one with the puppets/clay animation. He makes the "glowing sound" just like in the movie and will leap around yelling, "I'm cute! I'm cute!"
It has definately made this Christmas season full of laughs and smiles. Our little boy. I mean, Rudolph.

Gingerbread Houses

Mcayden goes to a great preschool! It has been so much fun this Christmas season b/c he comes home with all kinds of fun Christmas projects, ornaments, pictures, etc. He was so excited about his gingerbread house. Really, he couldn't wait to eat it.

IceSkating in Old Town!

Dirty Feet

During the summer when the kids feet get dirty from playing outside, Rick will take them into the bathroom and wash their feet in the sink. Here they are the other day washing their feet--not because they're dirty, not because they're clean, just because they can!

A Nest

Mcayden has an amazing imagination. He constantly surprises me with the things he thinks up. Here is one of his latest creations--a nest. He buries himself underneath and then pokes his head out. He is so funny.

Juggling

Yes, so I have been slacking on my blog a bit. I know. Life is crazy and honestly when is it not? A friend of mine asked me how I keep my life in balance. I've come to the conclusion that for me life isn't a balancing act, it's a juggling act. Sometimes I drop a ball or two, have to pick them back up and keep on juggling. So, this blog (being one of those balls) has been picked back up.
So, enjoy a glimps of the past two months--our update.
