Denver Children's Museum

We had orginally planned to go to the Denver Zoo, but decided to meet our friends at the Children's Musem instead. We had never been before--it was so much fun. It reminded me of the Children's Museum in Wa. There was tons to do--- the kids were constantly off in two different directions! Luckily Mcayden played with his friend, Trennon and his mom kept an eye on them as they darted from activity to activity! Mcayden playing on the full-size fire truck. Complete with fireman garb, flashing lights and a siron!

Mcayden and Trennon showing off the fish they caught! No fish stories here!
One of the many play/discovery areas. There was so much to look at, touch and explore. It was so cool!
Addison in the market, doing a little grocery shopping. Whole Foods got some great advertising with this little market. The kids loved it. After shopping, they could go into the restaurant and cook food and serve it up for their hungry customers!
The bubble area was really cool! The kids were able to do all kinds of activities with bubbles, including standing inside a big, square bubble (first bubble pic) and experiment with other bubble blowers, etc. The bubble solution was the best ever--a great bubble every time! I want the recipe!

Sweet Surprises

Mcayden said he had a surprise for us. And what a sweet surprise it was. He made little Lincoln log people of "Daddy and Mommy". Aren't they adorable?! The little piles of mini-logs below our heads are our hearts, "so they can go boomp!"

Flame Out 5K

I had the opportunity to be a sponsor for our local fire dept. fundraising event. They hold an annual 5K to raise money for smoke alarms and other education programs, etc.

Ten lucky winners left that day with new Scentsy warmers, bars and travel tins!

The man who organized the event was so nice! He added a warmer in their "safe house"--a trailer they take around to schools, etc. to show people how to keep their homes safe from fires.

I am so glad I was able to help with this event and to spread the word about amazing, safe candles!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

This warmer was created to honor women with breast cancer. "Love, Life, Hope" spreads a message of hope and support for breast cancer survivors and their families.
100% of the net profits from the sale of this warmer will go directly to The National Breast Cancer Foundation to support breast cancer awareness and eduation programs.
It is $35 that will make a difference today. lifesmellsgood.scentsy.us

Best Day of Rest...EVER!

My mom and sis, Cindy took the kids to Estes Park today to see the elk. They are bugeling right now and there was also a huge Elk Fest up there. .

So, today, while the kids were in Estes, I slept IN, enjoyed a delicious brunch (ginger scones, strawberries, honeydew melon, grapes and a cup of chai) while watching a mini-marathon of "Raising the Bar" episodes on DVD. It was the most restful "day of rest" I have had in a long, long time! It was awesome!

Thank you Mom and Cindy!!!!

The kids are going to sleep well tonight.

Swinging

Rick hung two awesome swings from the tree in our front yard. They have been quite a hit, with our kids, as well as the neighborhood kids (and adults)!

BowlGolf

What? You've never heard of bowlgolfing? Well, it's a really skill-based game/sport invented by Nicole. Don't feel too bad if you haven't heard of it before, it's relatively new, as of last Saturday. After dinner at Bojos and a walk around Old Town, we hit Fort Fun for some bowlgolf and skiball. Half way through the first course, Nicole came up with a different way to play mini-golf and named it "bowlgolf", which is pretty self-explainatory. We laughed ourselves silly. It was exactly what I needed after a stressful week. Thank goodness for good friends.
