Bargain Shopper!

I ran into my friend on the way to the mail box the other day, and she told me about this great sale a local store was having. So, that night, she watched the kids for me and I went shopping! Everything that had a red mark on the tag, was only $1.00. Yes, $1.00! So, this darling Ralph Lauren dress and shirt Addison is wearing, cost me a buck! I was able to get some great outfits for the kids and only spent $36.00 total! It was great. I mean, who doesn't love a deal?!

SCENTsational Scentsy!

I was first introduced to Scentsy, while living in WA State and I fell in love. I hosted a party and bought warmers for my myself, my mom and my mother-in-law. I also stocked up on Scentsy Room Sprays and have one in each bathroom, the car and Mcayden's room. My friend Kristen and I are strong believers that they are a diaper bag necessity! Her Scentsy spray saved us from dieing a slow and miserable death by a killer diaper.

Our home smells great and I can change the scents whenever I want. And, now that I have kids, I appreciate the safety factor. The wax only gets warmer than body heat so it won't burn you, or those little "Curious Georges" living in your house.

In November, my sis-in-law suggested I become a consultant. I love the stuff, Rick loves the stuff, etc. etc. so why not?

So, all of you wonderful blog readers, if you haven't heard about Scentsy Wickless Candles before--check out my Scentsy website.

You can contact me directly when you want to buy something or you can just place your order online, through my site. If you have any questions, let me know!
And have a SCENTsational day!

Polaroids

My friend Carrie (Carrie Stroud Photography) shared a link to this program that turns your digital pictures into polaroids. Fun stuff!

A San Francisco Treat-Highlights

A friend of mine invited me to join her in SF, while she was there for a work-related conference. Lucky me! While she was in her Econometrics conference, I went and saw the sights. I would love to go back again. And spend more time. And take Rick with me. It is such a fun city. There is so much to do!

I had been to SF once before, a hundred years ago, on a high school Senior A Capella Tour trip, but didn't really remember a lot about the city, so it was fun going back and really enjoying it.

In a nutshell, I went to Alcatraz "The Rock", which was so fun. It's really interesting and the audio tour is just awesome. A must if you go to SF, BTW. I rode on the trolley a couple of times (Ding! Ding!), went to Trader Joe's (We don't have them here in CO. Sniff. Sniff), went to the Golden Gate Bridge, Ghiradelli Square, walked a hundred blocks to Kara's Cupcakes (that is a story in itself), China Town, Japan Town, and on the Barbary Coast Trail walk (partially). I also walked through Tiffany's and quietly "oohed and awed" at the amazing (and beyond expensive) jewerly.
While on the Barbary Coast trail, we got to see how fortune cookies are made. Pretty cool. They look like little pancakes before they're twisted up. Oh, AND, we went to a Karokee bar, and yes, we did sing our hears out. It was the funnest Karokee bar I have ever been to!

A view from Alcatrez.

Cupcakes from Kara's Cupcakes. Yum. Yum. Yum. And pretty too.

A mural in China Town.

This was our view from the Cheesecake Factory. Sacs Fifth Avenue and Tiffany's.

Christmas Pictures

Rick wanted to get some nice pictures of the kids this Christmas, so we were going to take them to see Santa in Old Town again. But, it was a busy morning and Santa wouldn't be showing up until noon, so we decided to just take some pictures infront of our tree. We got quite a few cute ones of Addison and after bribing Mcayden with a new train (if he'd smile and look at me at the same time), we got a couple of him too. Whatever works.
Then he wanted his trains (his new, black one and Thomas)to get their pictures taken too. Fortunately they were very cooperative.

Reindeer

Mcayden likes to go around and put the reindeer antlers on everyone. Addison doesn't mind at all. She'll keep it on until it falls off. No problem.
The other day, he put them on Rick and a little while later Rick got something for him and Mcayden said, "Thank you Daddy Reindeer."
